BackerKit Surveys Incoming!!

Hello! Hope you had an awesome weekend! What an insane last few weeks! We've been working like crazy getting everything ready for production (and having a blast the whole way!). Kickstarter has finished their end of the process and we've been putting the final touches on the BackerKit surveys (pledge manager) that will be sent out this week.

Tent Camping Mini Expansion!!!

Thanks to all the overwhelming interest we've received, we are so excited to be able to offer the Tent Camping Mini Expansion as an add-on in the survey!

Sometime later this week, you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.

An initial test batch will be sent out to 5% of our backers to make sure that everything is working correctly in the system. Then over the next few days after, the remaining surveys will be sent out in batches.

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you'd like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!

After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final count. Surveys will remain open for about 4 weeks until we need to lock the final counts for production.

Due to the volatility of shipping (and sales tax / VAT / GST) prices globally right now, shipping (and sales tax / VAT / GST) fees for this project will be calculated at a later date once we have the best estimates for everyone. We plan to enter & charge backers for shipping and sales tax / VAT / GST a month or two before fulfillment when we have better estimates of what it will cost to ship backers rewards. Your card will be charged once around November 1st for any add-ons you add through BackerKit, then once more in April/May for sales tax / VAT / GST (where applicable), and shipping. We will alert backers when shipping costs are finalized & before we charge your cards in your BackerKit survey. We will keep you all informed along the way!

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email.

If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you used your Apple ID to log in to Kickstarter, the BackerKit surveys will not be able to send to your Apple ID. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please email me at [email protected].

Zoey and I want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts! Over the course of 31 days, Bear Mountain Camping Adventure has been 15,629% funded with $781,450 raised from 8,060 backers. It's been a dream of ours to start a small game publishing business and thanks to your generosity, we're off to an incredible start. We can't express how much we appreciate each and every one of you. Your faith in us has not gone unnoticed, and we are already hard at work to make sure everything stays on schedule, and everyone has the best shipping experience possible. 

Next Steps: The Pledge Manager and Shipping

We will be using BackerKit to manage pledges and shipping/fulfillment costs after the campaign. Due to the current volatility of shipping costs, shipping payments will be collected in Backerkit well after the end of the campaign, close to our shipping date, and will be based on actual shipping costs incurred. This will allow us to present the most accurate and up-to-date prices to pass savings onto you, our valued backers! Here's how it will work:

1. You will receive an email from BackerKit a few weeks from now to confirm your pledge and add any additional items you would like. In the BackerKit survey, you will be able to:

• Confirm your pledge.
• Add any additional items you would like to get.

2. A few weeks before fulfillment (before we ship the game to you), you will receive another email from Backerkit. In the second Backerkit survey, you will be able to:

• Pay for shipping costs on the spot
• Pay for taxes and any duties (if due) on the spot as well to avoid delays.

7,100+ Backers! 4 Days To Go! Final Stretch Goals Announced!

Thank you all so much for your incredible support!!! With 4 days left, we're sitting at just over 7,100 backers who've pledged $685,000+ to make Bear Mountain Camping Adventure a reality!

Final Stretch Goals Announced! 

As we enter the final stretch, let's take a quick look at the latest stretch goal that was unlocked as well as the final 3 unlockable stretch goals of the campaign!

Since the last update, you've unlocked the linen finish on all cards! As this game is a deck-builder, this is a huge goal to unlock, and will really take the quality of the premium ivory-core cards to another level!

The final 3 unlockable stretch goals include a pack of 8 unique canteen stickers (Kickstarter Exclusive), an embossed logo on the game box, and a Tent-Camping mini expansion that will be added to every game (Kickstarter Exclusive). Many have asked for more tents to be added to the game so we've been working hard, and are so excited to present this mini expansion to everyone as the final stretch goal! If we don't reach this stretch goal, we are not sure yet if the mini expansion will be available to purchase in the pledge manager after the campaign is over, but it's definitely a possibility!

With just around 2 weeks left, we can't believe that we're sitting around 12,000% funded! Your support means everything to us and we can't wait for you to play this game!!

New Add-On Announcement!

We've been receiving tons of heartwarming messages about everyone's excitement for the game, as well as interest in upgraded components! We're also getting other messages from amazing backers who want to know how they can help to reach new stretch goals. We wanted to address both of these incredible inquiries with one solution...add additional add-ons to our Kickstarter campaign! :)

As some of you already know, all of these add-ons were originally going to be added to the Pledge Manager after the campaign ends, but we wanted to make them available to add on now, so it's easier for everyone to see what will be available/know what the price for each will be. They will still be available to add on in the Pledge Manager after the campaign as well, but they won't count towards completing stretch goals for the game. Just as a note, I'm not including the Premium Wooden Token/Tile add-on in this update as it has been available for the whole campaign, this is just to announce the new add-ons.

So without further ado, let's take a look at what's available!

As a note, the box will be able to accommodate all cards, even when they're sleeved! Also, you'll notice these add-ons are not included in the All-In Deluxe Edition because not everyone is interested in these premium upgrades and we wanted to keep the price as affordable as possible for those who are just looking to play the game with all the expansions included. Also for those who are curious, you cannot change the name/description of a reward once the campaign is live and someone has backed your project.

New Stretch Goal Unlocked!

Since the last update you all unlocked the dual-layered player boards for the deluxe edition of the game! Woo hoo! This is a big one, and we're so excited to be able to add this to the game! One last warning that this will most likely be a Kickstarter exclusive! :)

How is it possible that we're only 11 days in and we're already 10,002% funded with $500,147 raised from 5,416 backers!? THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! We are so incredibly grateful and I don't think we can say it enough!

Now it's time to take a look at some of the other goodies you've unlocked with your amazing support!

You've unlocked 2 more camper cards, not to mention all of the Social Goal campers as well! That brings the total number of camper cards that you can switch out with the original 3 that are included with the game to 10! With this many combinations of camper cards, it makes for a fresh game with new strategies every time you play! I can't wait for you to try it out!!

Next, you've unlocked a couple goals to upgrade the finish on the boards and add print to the inside of the box. These small details will help make this the high quality game you all deserve!

You've also unlocked 2 more activity cards (one unique illustration for each deck) which will be added to the base game. I'm very excited about these because the more fun abilities we can add into the game, the more memorable player interaction we can produce!

Lastly, you've unlocked a game board enhancement! We love the cozy look and feel of the board, but we also understand the point of view of our backers who expressed the desire for a more detailed illustration of the Bear Mountain region! So, thanks to your support and feedback, we are currently in the process of hiring a professional illustrator to help us bring this board to life without losing any of the cozy/adventurous feel of the original board! As a note, where everything is at on the board, and the general color scheme will remain the same for functionality, this is mainly a focus on the finer details (aka: make the campsites look more like campsites :) ) We'll be excited to share images of the new board once it's completed! 

Looking ahead to the next stretch goal, I know this is one we're all very excited about! We can't wait to add these dual-layered player boards into the Deluxe Edition of the game! Just a heads up, there's a good chance that this stretch goal will be a Kickstarter Exclusive as well! You've been warned! :)
